Padstow is situated on the beautiful and rugged North Cornwall coast with its towering cliffs, wide sandy beaches, hidden coves and beautiful countryside.

The town is an ancient, but busy fishing port with picturesque pastel colourwashed and stone cottages nestling in the narrow streets leading down to the harbour and quays. The well known chef and TV celebrity Rick Stein has four restaurants in the town.

From Falmouth, Nick will set a south south west course with the Helford River to starboard and Britain’s most southerly tip, the Lizard Peninsula ahead. Following will be Lands End and Nick’s first
venture into the Atlantic Ocean. Then the compass will swing north east. Rounding Trevose Read, the Camel Estuary will soon provide welcome refuge with Rick Stein's fish and chips for tea!
