Known as the Gateway to the Highlands and long regarded as its capital, Inverness is a diverse and bustling city. Key attractions such as the castle, the cathedral and the Eden Court Theatre can all be found on the banks of the River Ness.

Inverness harbour sits at the head of the Caledonian Canal providing yachts and other small craft access to the North Sea and is the gateway to the Atlantic Sea via the canal.

If the Scottish weather is kind, then it is likely that Nick’s trip through the Caledonian Canal will be taken at a more leisurely pace! Nick is particularly looking forward to passing through the
scenic splendour of Loch Ness and it will, no doubt, stir up poignant memories of when he was a younger and more able bodied man who windsurfed across the Loch and back again.
