The hilly town is built around the central harbour area, which remains the lifeblood of this quaint historic town. Vibrant fishermen's cottages gaze out across the port and the fishing trawlers below. Many of the Brixham hotels are within easy reach of the harbour.

Brixham remains one of the UK's busiest fishing ports and every year, over ten thousand tonnes of fresh fish and crustaceans are landed on the quays.

1550 nautical miles completed and Brixham just a further 50 away, Nick's Round Britain adventure will be drawing to a close. Man and boat may may not have been round the world in 80
days, but for Nick it may well feel like it! It will be a time for Nick to reflect on the trials and tribulations of his wave bashing, salt encrusting journey - and start planning his next adventure....
